Custom (Made-to-Measure)
Our working relationship with Northwest Lymphedema Center and their more challenging patients have been an invaluable assist in the development of our custom-made garments. We have developed new ways of supporting pendulous lobules and extended abdomens. We have also designed a number of adjustable, easy-donning wraps for stroke patients and those confined to wheelchairs. Our list of customizing garments is extensive, for we believe anything is possible, and there should be no limit to size or application.
Providing Creative & Professional Solutions
JoViPak® has developed new ways of supporting pendulous lobules and extended abdomens for several patients
over 500lbs. We have worked diligently to equalize compression over chest walls, even when the patient is lying
down. Our boxer short and new hip hugger provide abdominal support and will not restrict lymph flow in the inguinal
area when patient is sitting down. We have also designed a number of adjustable, easy donning wraps for stroke
patiets, amputees and those confined to wheelchairs.
Hand marked patterns according to specifications...
Our professional staff of seamstresses has become fascinated with the complexities of lymphedema and is thrilled to be part of the solution. They continually refer to the watershed charts, as all of the Continuous Flow© channeling on JoVi garments is hand marked according to the specifications provided by the fitter and/or therapist.
Garment Versatility
All JoViPak® products are washable. Foam filled garments can be machine dried at a low temperature setting. Choose from either flat foam or shredded foam blended to your specifications for optimal effectiveness and tissue tolerance. They are well suited for use under short stretch bandaging, nylon/spandex JoVi Jackets, FarrowWraps®, and pneumatic pump appliances.

- Photos (whenever possible)
- Patients age, height and weight. (This is extremly helpful in our determining the appropriateness of a garment.)
- Complete order form
Custom Options
Additional options are listed on the order forms particular to each product. Please visit Fabrics, Colors & Foam for additional information.
Tips for measuring a Custom productArm and Leg
- Separate Custom order forms are available for Custom orders. Exception: Please use the Made-to-Order Vest order form to order a Custom Vest.
- Please fill in all patient information. ie Right or Left, Primary or Secondary, Birth Date, Weight, Height
- Please check Inches or Centimeters.
- Please include photo's if possible.
- Be sure you fill in ALL of the measurement boxes including the length of each measurement from the basic Landmark. For arms that will be the C landmark, or wrist measurement. For legs it will be the A, or Floor landmark.
- You will notice there are several measurement boxes between the knee and the groin, i.e. F, F1 and F2. If your patient is fairly symetrical, we only need the F1 or mid-thigh measurement. (Just tell us how far that measurement is from the floor. If your patient has very large, pendulous thighs with skin folds or large lobules, measure them in recumbent position. Wrap the pendulous areas with one layer of Isoband, even Saran Wrap, and pull the tissue up, as best you can, to its original position. Then measure - take as many measurements as you feel necessary - just let us know, with each one, how far the measuring point is from the floor. You can insert as many measurements as you like, i.e. F3, F4, etc.(You can also do this for arms and lower legs.
- It is imperative that you send a hand tracing (palm down) or a foot tracing for Custom made garments. Please add a 1" scale on your tracing so we will be able to tell if there has been any distortion (or reduction) by the Fax machine. These tracing guides are included in the pdf downloads.
Note: If you are used to measuring for compression arm sleeves or stockings, use the same technique. If you have measured for Elvarex, they will be the same Landmarks. A measuring board is very helpful for measuring leg patients as you don't have to put marks on their skin. Get someone to write the numbers down for you. As you work your way up the limb, take the circumferential measurement, then just straighten out the tape and see where it lands on the board for your length measurement.
