JoViPak® Staff
Sue, Customer Service

Sue, Sales Manager

Sue's adventurous spirit led her cross country and we are thrilled she ended up at JoViPak. Her last position on the East Coast, at a health insurance company, gave her a whole new understanding of the challenges of lymphedema. Her effervescence, love of people, teaching and business experience make her a perfect choice for our sales manager position. Her hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Her extension is 89.

Sue

Sue, Pattern Maker & PAD Operator

JoViPak has been fortunate enough to find another pattern-maker with a medical background. Sue's degree in chemistry was her entry into the field of medical technology; however, her first love, since she was five years old, has always been sewing. Ten years ago she left the world of medical laboratories and headed in a totally new direction--developing skills in computerized pattern-making using the PAD software system. Sue's recent past also includes a teaching position at the International School of Design teaching entrepreneurial seamstresses and designers how to make their own patterns. You can call her at 1-866-888-5684, Extension 82, or

JoViPak® Seamstresses

Five women from former Russian republics staff the sewing production line. All were professional seamstresses prior to coming to the United States. Their combined experience adds up to well over 100 years. With justifiable pride and satisfaction, these women have discovered the joy of being a part of a team dedicated to helping lymphedema patients. They frequently have the opportunity to meet patients and hear first-hand testimonials on how the products they have made are helping to relieve patient suffering.

Besides being highly skilled in their field, our seamstresses are also excellent cooks. Holidays and birthdays are always a treat at JoViPak, as our Russian ladies never fail to surprise us with their colorful and tasty native dishes at our celebrations. Russia's loss is now JoViPak's blessing and good fortune. We not only eat well, but we are confident our products are sewn by some of the best seamstresses in the world! Nadia

Nadia, Production Supervisor

Nadia, our Production Supervisor has been with us for 7 years. She is a perfectionist and her attention to detail is unparalleled. After graduation from technical college, her career as a professional seamstress began in a Kasakhstan factory making coats and sheepskin clothing. Nadia and her two sons came to American in 1995. Nadia received her American citizenship in 2001.

Lyubov

Lyubov, Seamstress

Lyubov grew up in Kazakhstan, and she and Nadia were childhood friends. After Lyubov's graduation from a technical college, she began working for a specialty garment business making custom clothing. She came to America in 1998 with her husband and three children. We recently celebrated her American citizenship.

Inna

Inna, Seamstress

Inna was born in Ukraine and joined her brother and sister in America in 1998. She was formally trained as a professional seamstress in a technical institute, and worked in a clothing factory making suits and leather gloves. Inna loves a challenge and demonstrates her technical capabilities at JoViPak by creating custom face masks and operating our new embroidery machine.

Tanya

Tanya, Seamstress

When it comes to sewing, we have yet to find anything Tanya can't do …. to perfection. She was a tailor for 15 years in her native country, and this experience has been an invaluable asset to the JoVi production team. She recently remade a full-length leather coat, which, to me, was an indication of her unique talent. Tanya, her husband and son came from Kazakhstan to America in 2003.

Nina

Nina, Seamstress

Nina was born in Ukraine, but moved to Kazakhstan where she met Luybov, Nadia and Tanya at the Slavic Church in Karaganda. She and her five children came to America in 2003. In addition to being a tailor and a fine seamstress, Nina is also a wonderful musician. She plays several string instruments and sings in her church choir. She and Inna surprised us with holiday music at our last Christmas luncheon.

JoViPak®Ready-Made Inventory

Ready-Made Orders

All orders are received and processed at our Customer Service Desk, 10 hours each day Monday through Friday.

If a Ready-Made order is received by 12:00 noon, it goes directly to Accounting, then on to shipping where the garment is pulled from our Ready-Made inventory and can leave our facility within three hours of receipt of the order.

Made-to-Order

Made-to-Order garments are considerably less expensive than Custom-made as the pattern has already been made. JoViPak® Pattern Rack We currently have over 1200 patterns, many ranging in sizes from XSmall to 6X Large. In an effort to accommodate an even wider range of patient sizes, we have added MAX sizes to both our Arm and Leg patterns.

Custom (Made-to-Measure)

Customizing Custom or Made-to-Measure orders are perfect for garments requiring unique sizing or engineering. The patient information is entered into a software program designed specifically for JoViPak® that computes the pattern allowances for all Custom-made products. A Confirmation of each Order is faxed back to the customer.

JoViPak® Plotter From there the order goes into Accounting for either a price quote or a sales order then on to the Design Center where it is entered into our new computer aided design (PAD) and a pattern is created.

Classroom

Design Center & classroom

This large design center converts to a weekend classroom for staff training, fitter certification courses and patient self- care classes.

Hand Marking

Production

Production begins with the cutting of the fabric and hand marking of the Continuous Flow© channels which aid in the rerouting of lymph fluid to alternate functional pathways.

The inner and outer layers of fabric are surged together and the shell goes to ourfilling area where it is filled and weighed with just the right amount of highly resilient foam chips.

Surging Fabric The seams are then sewn together with state-of-the art computerized sewing machines and the new garment is sent back to the Design Center for inspection.

Shipping

Shipping

On final approval, the garment is sent to the Shipping Department for packaging and shipping via UPS. The shipping information is entered into a UPS computer program and a Quantum View Notify is automatically emailed to the customer with tracking number and delivery date.

A file is created for each custom order and saved for future reference.

JoAnn Rovig If a therapist or DME would like to confer with JoAnn regarding the appropriateness of a particular garment for a patient, she is always available to answer your questions. Her recent certification as a Nutrition Therapist and her fifteen years as a Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA), patient educator and patient herself, all contribute to her vast knowledge base, which she is eager to share with anyone who can benefit from a one-on-one conversation.
