 These garments are bandage liners for external compression systems with the added benefit of shredded foam. Shredded foam is blended to various sizes, resiliencies and shapes and is then compressed, high and low pressure points develop in the underlying tissue. This creates an increase in venous return, mobilization of stagnant proteins and an improvement of lymphatic drainage, all leading to a successful therapeutic outcome: a reduction in swelling, an improvement in micro-circulation and a softening of fibrotic tissue. Transition garments provide your patient with a comfortable, durable and cost-effective garment that can be utilized from the beginning of treatment, through the reduction phase and transitioned to a maintenance or management garment. It is also beneficial in cases where there is an increase in swelling and the patient needs a tool to aid in the return of the limb to normal size. By eliminating the need for other padding materials and the usual accompanying patient frustration in applying them, Transition garments increase patient compliance, an important factor in successful treatment outcomes. |

 The Transition Sleeve has Continuous Flow™ channels from the base of the fingernail beds to the axilla, incorporates the Stitched-Finger Glove style (eliminating the need for finger bandaging) and has a 2-inch lateral rise at the shoulder. In addition to the benefits as previously listed, patients who have significant or frequent fluctuations in swelling may choose to alternate between the Transition sleeve (with bandaging) and their JoViPak® nighttime arm sleeve as needed. Size is determined by bicep circumference and by wrist to axilla length.

 The Transition LE-AD (lower leg) has Continuous Flow™ channels from the tip of the toes to the knee and covers to the base of the toenail beds with stitching that divides all but the third and fourth toes, providing toe comfort while virtually eliminating the need for individual toe bandages. In addition to the benefits as previously listed, patients who have significant or frequent fluctuations in swelling may alternate between the Transition LE-AD (with bandaging) and their JoViPak® nighttime leg garment as needed. Size is determined by calf circumference and by floor to knee length.

 The Transition Thigh Cylinder (upper leg) has Continuous Flow channels from below the knee to the groin, with a 4" lateral rise at the hip and a lightly padded cuff below the knee for stability of the garment. In addition to the benefits as previously listed, patients who have significant or frequent fluctuations in swelling may choose to alternate between the Transition Thigh Cylinder (with bandaging) and their JoViPak nighttime garment, Thigh High (AG1), Hip Hugger™ or Boxer Short as needed. Size is determined by largest thigh circumference and by knee to groin length.
